On Wednesday, October 7, 2026, the President signed into law:

H.R. 5345, the “Improving Social Security’s Service to Victims of Identity Theft Act,” which establishes a single point of contact at the Social Security Administration for individuals whose Social Security Number has been misused or whose Social Security card has been lost; and

S. 766, the “Billion Dollar Boondoggle Act of 2025,” which requires an annual report on federally-funded projects that are more than 5 years behind schedule or more than $1 billion over the original cost estimate.
