Democrats Are to Blame for Airport Chaos

Date:

Make no mistake: Democrats’ shutdown tantrum — now dragging into its 38th day of misery — is a brazen, demented betrayal of the American people. Now, as FAA safety restrictions loom like a guillotine over holiday flights, Democrats are inflicting their man-made catastrophe on Americans just trying to make life-saving medical trips or get home for Thanksgiving.

Everyday travelers are pleading with Democrats to end the hostage-taking:

  • “I’m more than a little concerned,” said a traveler at Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport in Nevada — where Sen. Jacky Rosen has voted 14 times to extend the shutdown.
  • “I am so frustrated,” said a traveler at Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport in Georgia — where Sens. Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock have voted 14 times to extend the shutdown.
  • “I’m a little worried because I’m supposed to fly to see my mom on Thanksgiving and I don’t see this ending,” said a traveler at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport in Michigan — where Sens. Gary Peters and Elissa Slotkin have voted 14 times to extend the shutdown.
  • “The government is playing with people’s lives,” said a traveler at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in Virginia — where Sens. Tim Kaine and Mark Warner have voted 14 times to extend the shutdown.
  • “It’s just not right. It’s very upsetting,” said a traveler at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport in Arizona — where Sens. Mark Kelly and Ruben Gallego have voted 14 times to extend the shutdown.
  • “We’re extremely nervous because we have to make it to the appointment… We can’t miss it. Time is running out,” said a traveler at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport in Minnesota — where Sens. Amy Klobuchar and Tina Smith have voted 14 times to extend the shutdown.
  • “It’s not just the traveling public, but it’s affecting the whole economy — and you people are to blame,” said a traveler at Newark International Airport in New Jersey — where Sens. Cory Booker and Andy Kim have voted 14 times to extend the shutdown.
  • “It’s going to impact the everyday lives,” said a traveler at Denver International Airport — where Sens. Michael Bennet and John Hickenlooper have voted 14 times to extend the shutdown.
